MONEY
Currency: Hong Kong Dollar (HKD)
Notes: You use Hong Kong dollars here. Check out the destinations page to convert your currency. There are a ton of money exchange places and as a matter of fact, these places offer a much better deal than the airports, banks and hotels. They are easy to spot and a lot of them are very easy to approach.
Money, Cash Machines, ATMs: Tons. Better rates than hotels and some money changers give good rates. In the Tsim Sha Tsui area, the street one block west of Nathan Road has money changers with much better rates than the Wan Chai currency exchange places as well as on Nathan Road itself..
Tipping: You don't have to tip in Hong Kong but I tip the all hotel staff, especially cleaning service and doormen. As well, cab drivers, though you'll hardly ever need to take a cab since the buses are so handicap friendly.
CONVENIENCE STORES
Both local Hong Kong and western 7 Elevens have strongs footprints in Hong Kong, espcially east of Nathan Road in Tsim Sha Tsui, as there are American fastfood restaurants. Yes, a lot of them are accessible. Some have steps at the entrance.
