It´s about 7 blocks due west of Puerta Del Sol. It´s nicely situated near Principe Pio (or, Del Norte Estacion), one of the main metro stations and across the street, north of Gran Via, on Reyes, there´s a lift to a metro stop, Line 10, Plaza Espana.

Accessibility: Plaza de Espana is owned or operated by Espahotels. This apartmencio, or apart-hotel, has a couple of wheelchair accessible rooms with double beds and a wheelchair accessible bathroom.

Front Door: There are two sets of doors. The first is a manual push glass door. The second set, automatic glass doors.

Ramp/Step: There are a couple of steps up but the north end of the steps has a concrete ramp. This ramp, however, is kind of steep and is situated awkwardly on a declining sidewalk on Calle de Plaza Espana.

Elevator, Lift: Yes. 3 but somewhat small.

Rooms, Bathrooms: The bathroom is large with extra wide doors, handrails next to the toilet. The shower and tub are connected and side by side. The shower has a seat, albiet very small and awkward and uncomfortable. Both the shower and bathtub have removeable shower heads. The sink and mirror are fine. You can roll under the sink a bit.

Features: bar, restaurant but it’s next door and has steps inside. Safe – the safe is awkward because it sits high in the closet. Plus, you have to use a pen or something sharp to reset the safe. Currency exchange, travel agency.
