Overview: The Prague Castle is located about 4 km north of Malo Stranska. As one of the largest ancient castles in the world, the Prague Castle is the former office of the highest officials of Czech Republic and other foreign rulers. It's made up of palaces, churches, gardens, courtyard and museums; thus, the Prague Castle embraces a variety of architectural influences. The construction of the Prague Castle began in the 9th century by Prince Bořivoj, and through the years with the succession of various rulers, each king made his and her (Queen Maria Theresa) own mark with his/her additions.

Getting There: You can take metro Line A up to Dejvicka or Malas Strana and then cab it to Prazsky Hradcany. Then, take a cab.
