Overview: The Taiwan Taoyuan International airport is a fairly easy airport to get around in. There are only two terminals, with EVA Air located in Terminal 2. This airport is a connection stop for EVA Air as well between the states and Thailand. One interesting note is that the Taoyuan airport has a Hello Kitty theme departure room.

Handicap Airport Services: This airport provides handicap services but not the best. If you fly on EVA Air, you must call EVA Air and make arrangements with them ahead of time. This airport is unlike any other airport in regards to being able to take your own wheelchair to the door of the plane. The airport staff insists that you transfer your to an aisle chair at the gate at which time, they will take your wheelchair. You can not persuade the staff otherwise.
Staff: The staff - in my experience - here did not speak English very well and sometimes communications were difficult. This doesn't speak to all of the staff. The airport assistance was also not the friendliest, a bit gruff.
Money, Cash Machines ATMs: There are few currency exchange places as well as cash machines near the gates of departure. As well, some of the stores accept US dollars and perform transactions.
