Overview: The Los Angeles International Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world with about as many people coming as they are going. It's not the easiest airport to navigate in terms of driving through the airport and finding your way back OUT. Lines can be incredibly long so give yourself 3 hours if you have an international flight. Security here is tight so expect to take off your shoes and belts for scanning purposes. <

Handicap Airport Services: The airport does offer handicap services with transportation assistance throughout the airport, and like most other airports that offer assistance for the disabled, wheelchairs. Staff: The staff here is friendly for the most part. But, you do have typical Los Angeles people working and might encounter what appears to be tough attitudes.
Money, Cash Machines ATMs: Several cash machines in LAX.
Bathrooms: The handicap restrooms are not separate from the bathrooms for the general public. However, the stalls are large with handrails for assistance.

Airport to City Center: There are several options to get to the city center and the outlying areas of Los Angeles County from LAX. Among them are share ride vans such as Prime Time, Super Shuttle, Fly Away bus, a host of tourist buses. The easiest but one of the more costly ways to transport yourself from the airport is to simply use a cab. Depending on your destination, a cab ride will cost anywhere from $20 to $50. A cab ride from the airport to Santa Monica will cost around $40. A ride to downtown is about $30.
